About the Challenge:

Presented by the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium and the Stiles-Nicholson Foundation, the STEM Inventor's Challenge is currently in its 9th year of existence.  The purpose of the Challenge is to introduce students to emerging technology such as 3D printing, as they complete a series of mini-design challenges before using their acquired design skills to develop a unique invention or innovation.  Thanks to the generous donations from the Stiles- Nicholson Foundation we have been able to place over 120 3D printers in local middle schools, introduce over 1000 students to 3D printing, and hand out over $15,000 in prizes to participating students.
